The weekend has already came to an end and so too has my Mom’s visit. Some of the highlights were her watching me teach, making sushi together, cooking dinner for her and April’s parents, watching her act out a scene from Hustle & Flow, taking care of Charlie, having eggs and coffee with her in the morning, talking through the late night, seeing her sleep on our couch, making a cast of Charlie’s hand and foot, chatting during our drives, and gifting Charlie a beautiful blanket. The moments were sweet but short. We eagerly await more visitors to see our little Charlie.

Today is April’s first day back to school. So, Charlie’s routine will be changing a bit. I will stay with Charlie till 10:30 and then our babysitter will stay with him until April returns at noon. Overall, I cannot believe that a month has gone by. I wonder just how many times I will say that cliche, “I cannot believe that (insert time) has gone by.” Oh well, off to give Charlie a mid-morning snack. I cannot believe that it is time to feed him again
